Punjab da Puttar

Hi,

I spent a week in Amritsar and Chandigarh conducting a photo workshop. We explored the modern parts as well as some charming villages outside the cities including Atari which is the border town before entering Pakistan. It was all very exciting. And the people were so friendly and welcoming and made our stay as well as our photography very fulfilling.

And the Golden Temple was everything people make it out to be. May not be great for street photography in the temple, but my time spent there was an eye opener and a rewarding experience; one I highly recommend.

I had heard terrible things about the drug problems and crime in Punjab but we saw none of that and there was never a time, night or day, that we felt unsafe and we were never stopped from making images wherever we went.

Overall a wonderful week.
